I went out yesterday and hooked them up in the 5er and they worked great. While doing the intial set up it ask for your zip code ( where you are currently at ) in order to set the elevation and the tilt, after setting that all i had to do was was turn the dish left to right to find the signal.
Hello Everyone,

Am planning my first big outing w/ the Cat in April, and would like to replace the tires. Any suggestions? Also, I'm guessing that would also be a good to repack the wheel bearings? And...the battery died last fall after being plugged in for several months (duh....). I'm assuming I need to replace rather than try to charge it?

Speaking of which, what do you think of the Battery Tender? I think I could use one.

Now, about the truck. I just traded for a 2005 Chevy Silverado ...

When were were in Leesburg, Florida, in January we stopped at Pat's Sales and bought 4 cabinet doors. Three were previously used and dirty, and one was new and unfinished. One of the used ones had a glass panel. Total for all 4 plus tax was under $35.

Here are before and after photos. The new unfinished door had the best match. The color of the others looks better in person than in the photos.

Space between this panel and the kitchen drawers was just big enough to store bug stuff.

Something has been bugging me ever since we got the Cat. The wooden trim behind the clock wasn't finished on the back side. It was easy to see from the sofa. I don't know if it was an oversight by Forest River or if all of the Cats are that way.

I finally fixed it. Here are before and after photos.

I see that the fan needs cleaning.

Greetings from Texas!

My wife, granddaughter, and I are about to embark on a journey of full timing. We are still getting all our ducks in a row...but getting there none the less.

We will be traveling and living in nothing else but a Wildcat! This is our first and we love her. She is a 2002 28 ft. model that had some wounds when we found her after looking for about 5-6 months. We decide instead of shooting her, that we would nurse her back to life.

I wouldn't shoot a 3 legged dog or ...

I would like to install laminate flooring in our Cat where the vinyl floor is on the ground level.

I used to install laminate and other flooring in homes for quite a few years till my knees stopped working well. Have any of you done this in your Cat? I am concerned about the slide going over it.

Also, laminate flooring is meant to float. I would much rather it didn't here. Have any of you decided to glue it down with something?

I probably can't put it on the slide area as ...

This URL will take you to the Truck Stop page of America's Independent Truckers' Association (AITA). It lists truck stops by state, but more importantly it includes truck stops on the numbered US Highways as well as major State Roads. This has come in handy for the DW and I as we've wandered the "Blue Highways" and found ourselves looking for a fuel stop that would accomodate our Wildcat in tow.

I looked inside the compartment and noticed that there isn't any sound dampening on the back side of the speakers and wondered if anyone on here has tried to build some sort of box or place sound proofing inside the cabinets to keep the inside quiet. Pictures would be appreciated if anyone has a fix for this.

He now wants to buy a Sundance 3300QS which is a quad slide. Our unit isn't even a year old. We have checked with local dealers and it looks like we would lose about 7,000 dollars if we trade right now. Is there any financial justification for us to keep our 2010 27RL for another three years and then trade it for the RV that he wants? Any opinions would be helpful. ...

We just had our new 32QBBS delivered today. Looks great. But i have a question is there a way to have only the livingroom slide go out and not the bedroom slide. Where we have it parked we would like to open the large slide so we can get into the bedroom, but if we hit the button the bedroom slide will hit the fence. I sthere a way to seperate the controls of the 2 slideouts. Thanks for the help in advance.

Do any of the newer campers come with the heat pump units ? has anyone seen or used one yet ?

I'd love to install one and replace my 13,500 unit with one of these from the link above.

I wonder if they would heat the camper as good as the gas unit ?

I was at the RV Show in Toronto this past weekend and was speaking to a Wildcat salesman. He informed me that Wildcat is no longer producing the 32QBBS. I was surprised as I had always been told this model was one of their best selling floorplans.

The replacement is called the 32QBT. There are some differences, most notably a 3rd slide for a bunk room closet/storage, a side entry into the bunk room, and the shower and sink enclosed in the bathroom. The rear bedroom and the kitchen/living area ...

The sliding doors won't close with the hangers on the rack... wondering if anyone has had this issue. Do you have to find smaller hangers, or unscrew the rack and move it back (if you even can)?

Hi,

As a first time fiver , lots of previous camper exp.,, nervous about finding diesel stations, and getting lost etc,,trying to deal with turning around etc,,,is there a noticable difference as the 28 is about 5 feet shorter. Also planning on a lp generator ,,should I consider solar as well,,,any other comments welcome as to must have options. I like the 31ts because of the fireplace and tv setup,,but prefer the rest of the floorplan of the 28,,non bedroom slide,,better kitchen layout.

As you know we are here at the Bay Hide Away RV park on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. This area is slow to recover from hurricane Katrina. While driving around we came across this church that the storm surge from the hurricane had deposited along the side the road. Where this church was originally I have no idea, but it has been sitting in this ditch since 2005. The opposite side of the church was completely collapsed. This is truely a strange sight.

I can't seem to find any Wildcat dealers in Idaho. And I see very few on the road. Actually I have only seen one in the last two years. Anyone from Idaho one here that could advise me as to where to go to update our Wildcat?

Well, its snowing and reading posts by others, I'm getting the road trip travel "bug" to head for warmer climate. Problem is, we can't go due to other commitments. Not looking for sympathy, but wanted to say thanks for the input of places to go and fun times. Enjoy reading the forum and we will get our chance. As a side note, had a good king salmon trip, didn't catch many but scenery was beautiful and the ocean water is clear where you can see 40 feet down. Snow is 6 in & ...

Completed a job in Casper Wyoming and had to get to another one in Scotts Bluff Nebraska. Took the scenic route and even had time to stop and admire the wagon ruts from the pioneers on the Oregon Trail as well as the "Register Cliffs" where they carved thier names into the cliff (found one dated 1855). That is some seriously TOUGH bunch of campers!

Headed out of Guernsy (sp?) Wyoming and some time later passed this little CG.....the Pony Soldier RV park somewhere between Guernsy ...
